Tens of thousands of college students are getting saved in college campuses.

“They’re coming in with guilt and shame—STDs, unwanted pregnancies, abortions. They’re carrying guilt from even last night, from pornography,” said Jonathan Pokluda of UniteUS, which is hosting meetings. “And they come here, and we’re showing them the One—the only One—Who can really deal with their sin, who’s Jesus Christ.”

The revival which started in 2023 across America continues in higher education this year.

“Gathering so many people on a college campus is incredibly encouraging, it reminds us that our God is greater than anything we face in life,” said college student Abby Matthews in Breaking Christian News.

UniteUS is a group who started at Auburn University last year and seek to foster revival on other college campuses. They started with 5,000 students and 200 baptisms before moving to Florida State University, reputedly the nation’s second biggest party school, and beyond.

UniteUS has worked in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina.

“I believe that America is set for the greatest revival our nation has ever seen,” said Tonya Prewitt, founder of UniteUS. “I believe it’s starting with college students, and the hunger and fire we’re seeing among college students and college campuses is just taking off. It’s a movement.”

College student Haden Smith said: “Being with friends and neighbors as they prayed for each other was powerful. It created a space for openness that many don’t usually experience.”

UniteUS holds large scale revival meetings and often does them in stadiums or auditoriums. Places that usually hold wildly cheering sports fans are being filled with fans of Jesus wildly cheering salvation.

“We’ve had students come in and say, ‘Hey, I came in thinking I was going to take my life,’” Tonya said. The students typically then say, “I left with the most joy I have ever had. I came in not being part of any community, and now I am serving in a local church.”

UniteUS events connect with Christian student leaders and include speakers, personal testimonies, prayer, and baptisms.

“We expect to see people reignite their faith or discover it for the first time, leading to significant life changes,” said Zac White, a student leader at the University of Arkansas.

At a recent revival meeting at University of Arkansas, a banner proclaiming men’s basketball hung above students who were raising a banner of Jesus.

“It was incredible to see 10,000 people come together in love for Jesus,” said student Cale Matlock.
