Christianity more than a match for its ardent foes

Scientists have done their best to keep quiet about the larger implications of molecular biology. After decades of postulating that amino acids might align themselves into infinitely complex and perfect strands of DNA needed for the most primitive cell, some scientists now realize it’s a non-starter.

Is this why we see more news about UFOs? The Navy released its report legitimizing UFO encounters, and scientists are now seriously discussing how aliens sowed life on Earth. Actually, the Ultimate Extra Terrestrial, God himself, started life, but intellectuals are seriously resorting to little green men in preference over the idea that God did it.

Science as the “rational” alternative to so-called superstitious faith is also promoting gender confusion. None other than respected astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has added his name to the list of reputable scientists who say a man can be a woman if he feels it. Cue the eyeroll: Scientists discrediting themselves.

Atheistic science seems to be going the way of communism, dead but affirmed by the American university. For about 100 years, science has attempted to tear down Christianity. But Christianity remains standing, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

That leaves radical Islam as a formidable foe. Pew Research predicts the world Muslim population will surpass the number of Christians after 2050.

Islam’s polemicists say they are obligated by the Koran to force the rest of the world into their religion. Abul A’la Maududi said: Islam wishes to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam. In other words, convert or be killed.

Even from the beginning, Islam aimed at delivering a KO to Christianity. Its first monument, the Dome of the Rock, issued a defiant challenge to the Trinity: “There is no god but God. He is One. He has no associate.”

But let us not wring our hands. We tend to blow out of proportion our adversaries’ danger. Dr. Jay Smith is saying that Christianity can defeat Islam – in our lifetime. How will this be possible?

While Islam’s birth rate outpaces everybody else, Christianity’s conversion rate outpaces Islam. In other words, people being born into Islam will continue to increase, but increasingly they will make decisions to abandon the faith of their upbringing.

A key to this success is where Christians must work now. We must spread the word about Islam’s questionable foundations.

Muslims are leaving Islam in droves right now thanks to multiple ministries broadcasting the Gospel into Islamic countries. But there is a need for everyday Christians to “study and show themselves approved” and be ready for when they meet a Muslim on the streets.

How everyone can help win the war against Islam:

• Familiarize yourself Islamic polemics. Listen to Dr. Jay Smith on “The Emergence of Islam” or watch the documentary “Islam: the Untold Story.”
• Adopt a Muslim country for ministry and prayer. There are Islamic nations that have a near 100% Muslim population while others have 70% or less. Where the population is larger, evangelism will be more difficult. Connect with a church in the nation and visit them with preachers. I have adopted Pakistan.
• Reach out to Muslims in your community. Be ready for a respectful dialog. Muslims from the Indian subcontinent (the largest population of worldwide Muslims) have been raised on the British educational system and respect lively debate.

Guns and bombs do not win wars; ideas win wars. It is wishful thinking to hope the American military can neutralize the terrorist threat of radical Islam. The only thing that will win this war is people winning souls one at a time; every Christian should play a role in the Great Commission.

We are living at an extraordinary time. Through prayer, loving engagement and debate, we can invite Muslims to come home to the one, true, loving God.
