We have taken over 100,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. In several places around the world we minister year-round to “the least of these”. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to hold orphans, bring hope to the hopeless, and pray for the sick, lives are transformed.
We seek to disciple as Jesus did; our vision is that God would use us to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ.
Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM)is engaged in missionary endeavor in many lands in pursuit of the original, audacious commitment of the Assemblies of God to unprecedented world evangelism. That commitment, the mission of AGWM, stands on four biblical pillars. We are proclaiming the message of Jesus Christ to the spiritually lost in all the world through every available means. We are establishing churches in more than 200 countries, following the New Testament pattern.
We are training leaders throughout the world to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ to their own people and to other nations. We are touching poor and suffering people with the compassion of Jesus Christ and inviting them to become His followers.
Brief History In May of 1950, approximately 100 pastors and missionaries were led of God to begin a new fundamental, missionary, Baptist movement that would emphasize a worldwide church planting ministry. A simple fellowship of pastors was formed. In the years that have passed since those early days, it has grown dramatically; HOWEVER, it has never deviated from the purpose for which it was founded; to train, equip and support people for the ministry of establishing local Baptist churches around the world. Today, those original 100 have grown into the largest independent Baptist Missionary organization in the world.

History – During the Cold War, Christians in Russia and Eastern Europe found themselves disobeying government authorities in order to obey God. Entrust began in 1979 as a ministry to help Christians who were isolated from other believers by authorities who wanted to suppress and eliminate them. Several ministries secretly working behind the Iron Curtain, focusing primarily on discipleship and evangelism, recognized the need for training for pastors and church leaders.

Within the Orthodox Church, pray for the breaking down of prejudice, blindness and fear and for biblical renewal in Orthodoxy. Pray that Greek Evangelicals would have the courage to witness amidst opposition. Pray for the development of a nation-wide vision for prayer, outreach and church planting. Pray that everyone would have the opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the gospel. Pray for a change in Greek attitudes and fears toward indigenous ethnic minorities in the north and for effective outreach to the Albanians and Vlach and to the Muslim Turks, Roma (Gypsies) and Bulgarian-speaking Pomaks. Guinea – Pray for an effective nationwide literacy program, so that once translated, Christian materials and resources will be widely read. Also pray that the Lord will anoint Christians who can share the Gospel through powerful events that occurred that are recorded in the Bible. (Source: Operation World 2001)
