In a short video recently, Sean McDowell described the remarkable qualities of DNA’s digital information storage and retrieval system, which point to a super-intelligence behind the design of this system inside every cell in the human body.

“Biology is not just studying physical systems,” McDowell explains. “It is studying information processing systems within the cell and within life. At the heart of biology is the study of information.”

DNA is a molecule comprised of two chains that wrap around each other to form a double helix carrying genetic instructions for the development of all living organisms.

Within each cell, “one strand of DNA contains 8 billion letters, 500 million words, or eight thousand books,” McDowell notes.

“If you took one cell outside your body and uncoiled the DNA in length, it would be nine feet long.

Each person has about 100 trillion cells. “That means all the DNA from your body strung together would go from here to the sun and back about 70 times.” The distance from the Earth to the Sun is approximately 93 million miles.

According to Bill Gates, “DNA is like a computer program, but far, far more advanced than any software we’ve ever created.”

It is impossible to believe this highly advanced software program containing genetic instructions could have assembled itself by chance. Instead, it points conclusively to the Creator of the heavens and the Earth, the one true living God.
